Frequently Asked Questions

What are FS Points?

FS stands for Fantasy Score / Funny Score / Fortune Sparks. These are in-game points used in our Culinary Angler mini-game. FS points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money or goods. They are purely for entertainment and tracking your progress in the game.

You start with 300 FS points and can earn more by catching fish in the game. Different fish types award different amounts of FS points based on their rarity and difficulty to catch.

How do I play Culinary Angler?

Playing Culinary Angler is simple and fun:

  1. Click the "Start Game" button to begin
  2. Fish will appear swimming in the water
  3. Click on the fish to catch them
  4. Each fish you catch awards FS points
  5. The game runs for 60 seconds - catch as many as you can!

Different fish types are worth different amounts of FS points. Rare fish like sharks are worth more than common fish. Your score and FS points are tracked in real-time.

We recommend starting with our "Pan-Seared Salmon with Lemon Butter" recipe, which is marked as Easy and perfect for beginners. As you gain confidence, you can try more challenging recipes like our Fish Pie.

Do I need a fishing license in the UK?

Yes, in most cases you need a fishing license to fish in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Here's what you need to know:

  • England & Wales: You need an Environment Agency rod fishing license for freshwater fishing
  • Scotland: No license required for sea fishing, but you may need permission for freshwater fishing
  • Northern Ireland: You need a license from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs

Licenses can be purchased online or from post offices. Always check local regulations before fishing, as rules can vary by location and fish species.
